Amy Merrill

co-artistic director

Amy Merrill is a playwright, producer, and author of many plays. In development: THE SQUARE, a play about a veteran of the Iraq war and his response to the 2007 Nisour Square Massacre; and, ARDENT GIRLS, about the real-life 1896 encounter between reformer Jane Addams and Leo Tolstoy. Amy is an Associate Member of The Dramatists Guild, and belongs to the Brandeis University Alumni Board and Arts Council. She has been very fortunate to work with FPTC, first as an organizer/featured playwright with the Basra-Boston Project and, more recently, with Her Story Is, which, in December 2017, hosted a workshop in Dubai between female artists from Iraq and the Boston area. She looks forward to serving on the FPTC Board of Directors. www.amymerrillplays.com
